Question

edit

I'm kind of new to wikipedia and i need help putting a picture on my article. if u can help me that would be great, thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mariospears (talkcontribs) .

Sure :) First you need to upload the file on the server if it isn't there yet. There is a link on the "Toolbox", on the left of each page. As you can see the policy is a bit strict on everything concerning Images. Choose the license carefully. After you did that, you will be able to use the file using the tag [[Image:Name of the image without extension]]. Hope that helps! If you have further questions, don't hesitate to add the {{helpme}} tag to this page! Happy Editing! -- lucasbfr talk 21:52, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I see you found it. I have to warn you though: the subject of your article might not be notable enough to be a part of our encyclopedia. See WP:MUSIC and WP:NOT for more informations. -- lucasbfr talk 21:55, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Take me for a walk.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Take me for a walk.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thanks for uploading Image:Take_me_for_a_walk.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
