Adding a Resource

I would like to add a resource I have added to the English Wikipedia(located here).

We have Wikipedia:Cheatsheet. There might be a few things from your guide that could be merged to there, but we're trying to keep the cheatsheet as simple as possible for very-new-editors, who really don't need things like horizontal-rules, underline, colored-text, centering code, or tables. (So please propose any drastic changes at its talkpage) Wikipedia:Quick reference should be made a redirect to Cheatsheet. (wikipedia:quick guide and wikipedia:reference card already redirect there. The name 'cheatsheet' was chosen to match the meta copy, m:cheatsheet.) —Quiddity 20:39, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

It used to lead to Help:Editing, which although not as terrifying a place to send newcomers as Wikipedia:Starter toolset is, was still pretty overwhelming. I don't mind you deleting the extra line! :) Sorry, I didn't realize that it was one of your pet-peeves. I guess that it is a bit childish to use smileys in Mainspace, now isn't it? I think maybe some parts of Wikipedia:Quick reference could turn into some sort of advanced cheatsheet. Could that be possible? //MaraNeo127^talk 21:42, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

It could indeed make a good advanced cheatsheet. I don't know where we'd link to it from though. There are already so many links in our "See also" section...

Another problem is the advanced editing pages are fairly repetitive, with things like Help:Editing tips and tricks and Wikipedia:How to edit a page and Help:Wikitext examples all covering what seems to be the same thing? I'm hesitant to add more links! Anyone else have ideas? --Quiddity 03:48, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
