Dr.Sri A J Madhan Mohan Ram, Founder of Madhan's Rasikapriya had started with his wife Dr. Smt G Gayathri to teach music to interested candidates in the year 1999 with a meager number of 3-4 students. As the years passed by this institution started to grow and now has over 400 students learning and all this happening just because the blessings of our guru " Veena kalarathna Smt.Kalyani Ganesan madam.
Uniqueness
Madhan’s RasikaPriya, a gandharva kshethra caters to the interested students and teaches both dance and music along with instrumental which is inclusive of veena, violin, keyboard, mirudhangam etc. ,
The uniqueness of the kshethra, lies in the fact the being situated at North Chennai, a place, which fails to feature in the music list of the learned audience contrary to the fame of music in south Chennai, is able to make a mark for itself under the prevailing conditions.
The institutions existence dates back to the year 1999 and since then there is no looking back in its growth. The gandharva kshethra, commenced its annual functions from the year 2004.
