Speedy deletion nomination of User:Maaximumseduction

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Maaximumseduction, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.   This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Momo san Gespräch 19:07, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. You have violated one or more of our rules, including rules against adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, using Wikipedia for promotion, and editing inappropriately with a conflict of interest. This kind of activity is considered spamming and is forbidden by Wikipedia's policies. Although Wikipedia has a great many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals here, you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information. Willking1979 (talk) 19:10, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Request reason:

I just started using wikipedia and it is hard to understand the fine line between informing and advertising. I understand it now and it will never happen again. I did simply want to write an encyclopedic journal about my outfit Maaximumseduction or even myself McMaax, as I have a very large following in the world and I would love to beef up my professionalism by being on your wonderful portal. I intend to simply "Inform" and not sell or advertise about who I am and what I do.

Decline reason:

It seems from this that you still desire to use Wikipedia as a marketing platform; but nobody gets to write about themselves, their businesses, or their organizations on Wikipedia. --jpgordon::==( o ) 20:18, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

What I meant is, just like my competition love systems has a wikipedia page. If I were to write something like that, would you allow me to be on here. Secondly, I do intend to contribute valueable articles and content on here on inter-sexual communication, dating, relationships. I thoght on Wikipedia you can write down facts about something. IBM, is on here. Dell is on here. Why can't I write facts about mcmaax or maaximumseduction.

IBM doesn't edit their own article; neither does Dell. Facts that you write on Wikipedia have to follow several basic policies. They must be from reliable sources; they must be verifiable; they must presented with a neutral point of view. Our experience shows us that it is close to impossible for someone with as strong a conflict of interest as you have to adhere to those policies; and we discourage it vigorously. --jpgordon::==( o ) 20:44, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
