Notability of Lynn huggins - cooper edit

A tag has been placed on Lynn huggins - cooper requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kannie | talk 16:41, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

autobiographical articles (WP:AUTOBIO) edit

Autobiographies are generally really frowned upon -- creating an article about yourself, even if you are really notable, unless the circumstances are extraordinary, is seen as too problematic. Furthermore, would you like to assert a further distinction than being "proliferate" -- a certain style perhaps? I am just trying to help you -- biographies require notability. next step edit

I declined the speedy, since the article asserted notability. However, to stay it WP, it has to demonstrate it. What is needed is evidence that some of the books have been best-sellers or won prizes. this is best documented by references to reviews in third party published sources, or published articles about the prize. Not amazon. Not blogs. Not book jacket blurbs. Please do it right away, for the article is almost certain to be nominated for WP:AFD. Be aware the WP:COI is also a factor, so you will need really good documentation. DGG (talk) 17:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tagging Lynn huggins - cooper for deletion

Hello, Lynn Huggins - Cooper ... I recently encountered the article about Lynn huggins - cooper while performing either New Page Patrol, Recent changes patrol, or Counter-Vandalism Unit activities, and in my opinion as a Wikipedia editor, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the Notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it reads like blatant Vanispmcruftisment.

The point is that I plan to tag Lynn huggins - cooper (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) with either a {{Prod}} that explains my reasons why I believe that it should be deleted, or else a {{Db-bio}} tag for speedy deletion (CSD A7).

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article or a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page ... please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. You might want to read up on this, this, and this. And please, talk anything out on your articles talkpage instead of actually editing it yourself. Thanks, Kannie | talk 01:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
