I do not know who will see this, but I need help. I just read the file http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregor_Mendel and found the sentence

"Though Erich von Tschermak was originally also credited with rediscovery, this is no longer accepted because he did not understand Mendel's laws.[citation needed]".

I have the citations but do not know how to modify a Wiki file.Stern & Sherwood and Sturtevandt are the sources for not accepting Tschermak's work. However Carlson disagrees.

Stern C and Sherwood ER (Eds) (1966) The Origin of Genetics Freeman Forward pp x-xi. Sturtevant, A. H. (1965; reprint 2001) A History of Genetics Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press p29. For a different view see: Carlson, E. A. (2004) Mendel’s Legacy: the Origin of Classical Genetics Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press pp105-106.

What do I do with this information? Cordially, Lynmil (talk) 19:49, 13 February 2009 (UTC)LynmilReply
