I do hope you can understand why people are concerned about off-wiki discussion causing undue influence over discussions, here... but at the same time, I'd prefer it if we didn't smack a newcomer with a sledgehammer across the head, just to get our point across. As I don't see any obvious malicious behavior from you, I don't see why a block was called for, here. On closer review, I see that Blueboy96 notified you of a block, but does not appear to have actually blocked this account from editing (note that the block log for this account is currently empty).
