The Latin Kings during this period begin to gain legitimacy statement and looking for a true definition of the LK organization edit

"The Latin Kings during this period begin to gain legitimacy." This sentence needs removed as hyperbole. I don't see how attending a demonstration in front of the United Nations with a political operative from Puerto Rico is a reason to make that conclusion. For just about anybody in the legal field, government, or journalism, the statement is a stretch to say the least. They would laugh at it. It's like saying "the Mafia was gaining legitimacy." I also had a comment on content discussing what are the Latin Kings? How would you define them? Street gang is the popular definition. I don't think it's completely accurate. I think "Cult" is a closer definition and I wonder if anyone else has used that definition. Research various definitions of Cult and see how that applies to the Latin Kings. I think you'll recognize some strong parallels. Among those being that the cult is harmful to its own members. It's the only street gang in which you're more likely to be harmed by a member of your own gang than a rival one.Lord El Supremo (talk) 20:50, 27 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I don't see how meeting with "activists" from Puerto Rico qualifies the statement "the Latin Kings during this period begin to gain legitimacy." Having that nonsense in the article is ridiculous. They're a criminal organization. By definition they cannot be legitimate.Lord El Supremo (talk) 06:56, 28 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
