Webcraft

edit

Thanks for your efforts in fixing up Webcraft; yeah, it does seem like an ad. It looks like you're embarking on a spell of tidying up the innumerable untidy (dare I say garbage?) articles lying around in the wiki - that's a really good idea (although arguable not a fun one). I can't think of a better way to get acquainted with the way Wikipedia really works (warts and all). Welcome to wikipedia! -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 19:07, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. Yes, I'm clicking the random article link, and even editing sometimes! -- Lockeandload
I did a similar exercise myself last weekend. Folks are always claiming that Wikipedia is full up with junk, so I set to check 1000 random articles. Frankly I gave up after about 100, where I'd found only one article that I thought should be removed (and it was already on WP:AFD). The corrolary to this comprehensive quality is a tad depressing, however - increasingly when one goes to start a fresh new article, one finds there's already an excellent article on the subject. -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 19:19, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes most articles are OK. I think there are over a million now. Maybe the wiki doesn't need too many more. (a throttle on them?) I think you see more silly articles using the "new pages" function[1], but they must get removed quick. -- Lockeandload

Gun images

If you don't like the one I picked, check out our collection of Pistol images or our collection of Revolver images. Anything you find there is free to use however you'd like. Just avoid the ones you find here at en:wikipedia that say "fair use" on them. Welcome, by the way. Jkelly 20:26, 25 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
