Self published sources

edit

User:LloydTaylor1, many of your sources (such as here) are cited to what we call "self published sources". Please read our policies on reliable secondary sources and find other sources for this information you are including. If you fail to do so, the information and your citations can and will be removed as unreliably sourced. Heiro 01:57, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Judging by this edit [1] obviously means you are not reading the policy pages I have linked above. I have reverted it. Are you reading these messages at all? I have now left several messages here and at the article talk page Talk:Chief Red Bird. With no response, I may be forced to take this to WP:ANI to seek help from admins. Heiro 02:16, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
This edit [2] where you insert into the citation "This cannot be confirmed", where I assume you mean it cannot be confirmed by that source, because that information isn't in that source, implies you are not getting what is meant by citing sources. Would you please talk to me? Bring me your information to the article talk first, then I can tell you if it works for our policies. Continuing to ignore these messages isn't the way to edit here. I am assuming good faith for now, but not much longer. Heiro

Speedy deletion of Chief Red Bird

edit

A tag has been placed on Chief Red Bird, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Page moves

edit

When you move a page it leaves a redirect behind, pointing to your user space. For this reason it's best to ask for help from an admin to userfy pages, either before or after the move. Not a big deal, and I expect you are unlikely to need to again, but I thought I would let you know. Rich Farmbrough, 07:45, 7 October 2010 (UTC).Reply
