It is not wikipedia etiquette to delete information from an article especially if you don't provide a reason. If the information is wrong then correct it, or better still invite discussion on the article's talk page.

Also it is not usual to put references to journal articles in theexternal links section see WP:EL and WP:ELMINOFFICIAL. I will be amending the page to bring it into line with wikipedia policices and guidelines.

Thanks for getting back to me, and explaining your edits on the Chris Mann article. One needs to be careful of doing original research WP:Original research and WP:Conflict of interest on wikipedia. Wikipedia editors are not supposed to use their own knowledge to create or edit articles, rather only information that has already been published in books, journals, newspapers and websites. I based the info mostly on Jeanette Eve's book. You wrote, "...spent the first fifteen years of his working life in rural development and poverty alleviation, primarily as Administrative Director..." I am not sure any of the references quoted support that statement. Also "...he was responsible for innovative projects in low-cost water-supply and sanitation, small-scale agriculture and labour-intensive public works." this is clearly WP:OR. Somebody other than a wikipedian or the subject himself has to say the projects were "innovative". This kind of statement ususally gets a tag. If we can find reliable, independent and verifiable WP:Sources to support your statements about Chris then we can reinstate them. Many thanks for expanding the publications section.
