Better picture for your article? edit

Hey Liz. I was just wondering if perhaps you'd like to donate a better picture for your article? The current one seems to be a screenshot from a presentation you gave back in November 2020, and is kinda fuzzy and overexposed. If you do want to, the image would need to be licensed under a CC BY-SA, which I believe you can do at upload time over on Wikimedia Commons. If you do want to upload an image, feel free to ping me here or the talk page and I'd be more than happy to update the article for you once the image is uploaded. If you don't want to do this, no worries, just thought I'd ask :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 02:07, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, the thought is appreciated, but I don't want to grant BY-SA rights to an image that could then be used by others under BY-SA to harass me :( right now it turns out to be quite useful to DMCA down images on Twitter of unauthorised photos of my face accompanied by slurs, etc. Lizthegrey (talk) 02:19, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
No worries. I know from our interactions on Twitter some of the folks who are harassing you, and I hadn't even considered that BY-SA would enable further harassment. Hope you're doing OK otherwise :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 02:24, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! edit

A sincere thanks for going out of your way to always explicitly point out your COI, in edit summaries and especially in discussions. I (and hopefully others also) really appreciate that, Thanks!!!! ---Avatar317(talk) 22:32, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome! I try to follow the letter and spirit of the rules! :) Lizthegrey (talk) 23:00, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

A cookie for you! edit

Thank you for the timely review of Draft:Onominato Shrine even though it was a decline still nice to get a quick review. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 08:56, 7 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your other ones look like they're clearly above the reliability & notability thresholds, so they need to be more thoroughly reviewed before they go live in mainspace! I always prefer to get the quick declines out of the way if I'm short on time to do full reviews, so please don't get discouraged :) lizthegrey (talk) 09:21, 7 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Editing others' comments edit

Hi @Lizthegrey, I saw what happened in Jennifer Pritzker talk page. I think when editing others' comments in a talk page, it would just be helpful to add a line to the bottom of the edited section to explain the edits you've made. I think it's confusing to see the "[misgendering]" in the middle of the sentence and not have it clarified that this was edited after the fact. This just in the interest of keeping the talk page comprehensible without resorting to the edit history. Samuelshraga (talk) 10:39, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ah yes you're right, WP:TPO does require If you make anything more than minor changes, it is good practice to leave a short explanatory note such as "[potential libel removed by ~~~~]". Sorry about that! lizthegrey (talk) 21:44, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! Samuelshraga (talk) 11:16, 26 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notices edit

In future, please don't notify an editor of a complaint at a noticeboard before you've filed the complaint. It's misleading/confusing. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:34, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Understood, sorry! It's not often that I wind up having to file noticeboard complaints so I apologise for messing up the mechanics. lizthegrey (talk) 01:37, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Exteahans71 ‎ edit

Thanks for dealing with Exteahans71‎ again. I've had my suspicions that this was a case of COI, and this [1] doesn't help. It's moot unless they get unblocked. I'm going to look at the various articles they have created and check if there is enough information available to warrant articles. Meters (talk) 03:55, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yeah. Now there's rampant socking and it's being dealt with. lizthegrey (talk) 15:48, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Might have been paid promotion... they certainly tried to get as much coverage into as many articles as possible. Meters (talk) 21:15, 11 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I hear you, but I've been around Wikia/Fandom long enough to believe there are people invested enough in documenting every character and scene in a movie or video game without pay. lizthegrey (talk) 00:57, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
