Thomas Jefferson / Sally Hemings Controversy edit

This page needs to be edited to reflect the fact that Sally Hemings could NOT have consented to a sexual relationship with Jefferson and therefore any such relationship was rape.

It is rape based on at least the following information :

1. She was his employee and she was also his property. She was therefore NOT free to consent to the relationship.

2. She was below the age of consent if the experts are to be believed. The page says that the sexual relationship was thought to have begun when she was between the ages of 14 and 16.

This correction will anger and even horrify some American readers? They of course should be horrified that one of the writers of their beloved Constitution owned slaves and even raped them.
