NCAA Selection Predictions and Speculation

I noticed that you flagged my inclusion of statjunkie.org in the NCAA Selection Proces -> Predictions and Speculation section for removal. However, I see that Joe Lunardi, Jerry Palm, Gary Parrish, and Ken Pomeroy have remained for inclusion. How can you remove one and not the others, since they are providing similar analysis? The information that I included was factual, and the Stat Junkie website is free of charge for users. If I were to reword the information to match the others, can it then be included? I do not see how it could not. Thank you. Dickvitale (talk) 00:58, 9 March 2011 (UTC)DickVitale

  • Because those four men are notable. Your website is not. If it reaches the same level of acceptance as Lunardi, Palm, Parrish, and Pomeroy, then it can be included. It isn't at that level. LHM 19:21, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

RE: OK, based on what criteria? Give me a little something more to go off of, since you're the one judging. At what "level" does it need to be at, even though it's on topic and relevant? 65.122.77.73 (talk) 20:59, 10 March 2011 (UTC)DickVitale

  • The site needs to have some kind of national stature -- as all of the others do -- before it merits mention in an encyclopedia article. LHM 04:00, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion contested: Bob Fescoe

Hello Lithistman, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I contested the speedy deletion of Bob Fescoe, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 15:15, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

  • I have already "reviewed the Criteria for Speedy Deletion." How is being a local radio personality, with absolutely no national stature making a "credible assertion of importance or significance"? I find that dubious and quite confusing. This guy isn't even particularly well-known in his own market. LHM 20:46, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Bob Fescoe

In regard to Bob Fescoe, you are correct that it was up for proposed deletion (although the reason had not shown up), not speedy deletion, and my edit summary should have said "decline proposed deletion" instead of "decline speedy deletion". Sorry about that. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 04:24, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

  • No problem. I was just confused when you called it "speedy" that's all. And I've got no idea why my reasoning didn't show up the first time. LHM 23:51, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
