Hello!

I think it is good you're updating some information on the Kama Sutra and queering it, but right now, this sentence here

Wendy Doniger’s translation of the Kama Sutra has been deemed more accurate than Sir Richard Frances Burton’s 1883 translation.

sounds a little biased because there isn't a citation next to it. I see that you have sources to reference, but as a reader I might want to know which specific source you've used to retrieve this information.

I also think it'd be good if you provided an example or two of topics from Wendy Doniger's translation to support the queerness of the Kama Sutra. Right now, if I'm not someone who's read Doniger's translations, I wouldn't really know what makes the Kama Sutra so queer. A direct comparison between Doniger and Burton's translations might make your edits stronger.

Best wishes,
Jamie

I just wanted to note that prior to reading the Kama Sutra page I had no idea what an "orientalist" was. If I could make a suggestion it would be to link orientalist to the page orientalist or Orientalism. I liked how you are editing in different ways. You're not only adding content but also linking material from the page to another page. According to the article, it states that Burton did not translate the Wikipedia page for Kama Sutra "The first English translation of the Kama Sutra was privately printed in 1883 by the Orientalist Sir Richard Francis Burton. He did not translate it, but did edit it to suit the Victorian British attitudes. The unedited translation was produced by the Indian scholar Bhagwan Lal Indraji with the assistance of a student Shivaram Parshuram Bhide, under the guidance of Burton's friend, the Indian civil servant Forster Fitzgerald Arbuthnot." When you edit the page I might suggest that instead of using the phrase "Burton's translation" you substitute with publication or edition that way it doesn't sound like you're contradicting the article's previous content stating that he didn't translate but edited.
