Notability of Fab Four Ultimate Beatles Tribute edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Fab Four Ultimate Beatles Tribute, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Fab Four Ultimate Beatles Tribute seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Fab Four Ultimate Beatles Tribute, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Bias or self interest edit

If there's an article you think is not up to Wikipedia's standards, then do what we do. Tag it instead of whining. I am a musician, who has been seen on television in more than one country. I am not in any sort of tribute band. Here on Wikipedia, we tag articles that seem to be advertising (amongst others) because there is no advertising on Wikipedia. It's not a free webhost or directory. Peridon (talk) 21:16, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re deletion of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fab Four Ultimate Beatles Tribute edit

Thanks for your note. I'm afraid I can't simply restore the page for you, although I can give you the deleted contents (on what we call a "sandbox" page) so that you can work on the article further. However, the problem is that a previous version of the article went through an "Articles for Deletion" (AfD) process (found at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fab Four Ultimate Beatles Tribute) and so the article automatically qualifies for speedy deletion by the first administrator who notes that fact (especially since I checked the references that were provided on the new version of the article and found that they were essentially the same as the ones that were specifically noted in the AfD'd version -- if an article hasn't changed "substantially" since its AfD, administrators have no choice but to delete it). What I think you need to do is to take the article through deletion review. I'm not very familiar with that process but I believe the rules are linked from that page (WP:Deletion review), and would involve having a copy of the article available for review by various administrators. If you want me to put a copy of the article into a sandbox page for you, or if there's further information I can provide, feel free to leave me a note. As you requested, I have restored the deleted material to a sandbox page at User:LindsayG0430/Sandbox. Again, if there's something further I can do, leave me a note. Accounting4Taste:talk 12:38, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

There now seem to be two articles, one at The Fab Four (tribute) and one at The Fab Faux -- they seem very similar. The Faux one is tagged for speedy deletion. Can you let me know the one you want to have remain? Accounting4Taste:talk 18:52, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:FabFourRutles.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:FabFourRutles.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:51, 8 February 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 05:51, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure why this article is being requested to be deleted. I already went through this a while ago and it was voted by wikipedia admins to be able to stay. All of the images being used on here are owned by The Fab Four and have been released to be used on here, so if I haven't specified the copyright correctly I apologize and will fix it if someone tells me how.

File permission problem with File:FabFourAd.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:FabFourAd.jpg, which you've sourced to The Fab Four. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 01:06, 6 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
