Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

LimozBros is a username that I use on many different websites and it doesn't represent any company, it's just my nickname, even my friends call me so sometimes... I hope I can use this username on Wikipedia as well!

Decline reason:

Sorry, but as the blocking admin does not agree to an unblock (see below), I think you'll have to choose a new username. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:13, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I carefully used the "softerblock" template since the name sounds like a group or team. No promotional edits were committed; but we just avoid using names that sound like they might be conflicts of interest. --Orange Mike | Talk 23:52, 29 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Orangemike: OK, I understand that, but now that the editors has said it isn't a company (and I can't find any evidence of a company called "Limoz Bros" or any likely variation), are you OK for me to unblock? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:58, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
WP:ISU is pretty darned clear. "Personal usernames that imply shared access, such as "Jack and Jill", are not permitted." That's not ambiguous, in my eyes. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:24, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but this is not of the form "Jack and Jill" and does not clearly imply shared access - "Bros" does not necessarily mean "brothers", and the user has told us it's his standard personal nickname. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:48, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
I'm assuming the utmost good faith on the poster's part; but it seem pretty disingenuous to pretend that "Bros" would be interpreted as anything other than "Brothers". --Orange Mike | Talk 15:01, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
I actually know someone whose surname is "Brothers", but he's only one person ;-) Anyway, I do think the block is a little pedantic, but I'll not argue further and will respect your decision. I'll decline the unblock request. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:11, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
This is silly; would we ban DrJoyceBrothers? There's nothing wrong with this name. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 20:44, 1 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Jpgordon: I agree, but I wasn't really in the mood for an argument. If you're happy to unblock with the username unchanged, you have my support. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:35, 2 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
