On Brisbane Metro

Hey there! I saw you undid my revision to Brisbane Metro where I changed the terminology to use the same language that Brisbane City Council has used in everything. I was just wondering why you've done this? I see that you've commented "They are Buses.", but while the similarity the vehicles have to busses is undeniable, that doesn't change the fact that they're called "vehicles" by both local, state and federal government publications - any other term is likely to confuse, which is why I changed it. I think it's also important to note that it isn't a bus network; it's a completely separate transport structure, more closely related to a network structure of Sydney Metro (rapid, unscheduled, single-route transit network) than any established bus network (irregular, scheduled, multi-route). March 2020

  Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Qantas. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. Thanks for your message. However, Wikipedia is a place for facts not rumors, I was simply upholding the values of Wikipedia by making an article encyclopedic. If you do not wish for this to occur you must enable users to lock pages to stop persistent vandalism by other users. --Life200BC (talk) 01:23, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Warrego Highway Speed limit

Hello Life200BC

Hi Life200BC, is the Warrego Highway 100km/h or 110km/h? When I search it up, it says 80km/h.

Just letting you know what I'm doing with those duplicate routes

Dear Life200BC

I just wanted to let you know that I'm duplicating the routes like what I'm doing in the NSW page. See more in the talk page Also sorry for the National A2 and the google streetview. Its been more than 9 years since I've lived in Queensland but I still have great passion for the state. Also note I'm duplicating all alphas and not just the routes 3-7.

Cheers, Thent1234 (talk) 10:10, 17 October 2020 (UTC) {{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveNow}}

Vandalism 2020

Your recent editing history at MS Columbus shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. How to deal with the situation above/ Toowoomba Toll

G'day Life200BC

I suggest you report the behaviour to KylieTastic. He/She is clearly putting ANOTHER user down and trying to harass you is NOT acceptable. I suggest it's time as it's the second time you received a false threatening message. Also they spelt vandalism wrong and as such, not a trusted editor.

Please respond back to me.

Thanks, Thent1234 (talk) 05:28, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your message Thent1234,
I believe it ok as the user has already been banned for harrasing Lyndaship. If they do it again, once their ban expires, I'll be sure to report it.
I just think I should give them an opportunity if they return

Hello Life200BC

Just a quick question, where in QLD do you live? If you live in Toowoomba, where in the Toowoomba Bypass is it tolled?

Thent1234 (talk) 03:12, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Don't live in Toowoomba, But It's tolled just west of where it goes under the New England Highway. There is a big Gantry over the road. So the only bit of the road that is tolled is the Viaduct. So Everything from Mort Street westward is free. Here is a link to google maps where the gantry is https://www.google.com/maps/@-27.5199389,151.9502805,3a,75y,290.32h,110.27t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1se7RDza274XEt_fPdN4De0g!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo3.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3De7RDza274XEt_fPdN4De0g%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D167.23125%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192 Life200BC (talk) 04:21, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Queensland Tolls and National Highway A1

Hello, Life200BC. You have new messages at Life200BC's talk page.

Hello Life200BC

Could you please send me a list of all Queensland Tolls. As I was a Townsville resident, I didn't know much about tolls.

Also according to Paul Rands (creator of the site expressway). He stated this to me when discussing about National Highway Alphanumerics

"Ah yes, NH15 from Ripley to NSW border and NH39 from NSW border to Leichhardt Hwy (A5) intersection at Goondwindi. I think I only had the NH alphas on my mind when I was referring to NH system.

Also apparently heaps of new signs on Bruce Hwy between Sunshine Coast and Bundy(Bundaberg) have recently been replaced or amended with erroneous NH-A1 references"

What is happening with these A1 signs?

Also there is this   floating in the middle of Goondiwindi, which I heard that it was to be consistent with NSW. Now that NSW is fully alphanumeric, what is QMDR doing?

Thent1234 (talk) 23:58, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

The Clem Jones Tunnel (Clem7), Legacy Way Tunnel and the Go Between Bridge are tolled by Linkt on behalf of the Brisbane City Council
The Gateway Bridges, and The Gateway Motorway between The Pacific Motorway and The Logan Motorway it tolled. The entirety of the Logan Motorway is tolled. These are also tolled by Linkt but of Behalf of Queensland Motorways Corporation.
The Toowoomba Bypass between Helidon Spa and Mort Street is tolled by Linkt on behalf on Nexus who have a built own operate deal with TMR.

I Think for all the signs which are mistaken we should pick one route number which the majority of the route is or will be eventually. So   should be   with references saying some is signed as  . For   I Would leave as is as there has been no attempt to change at all except the highway section which is  . I don't think QLD uses Alphanumeric NH shields anymore, I haven't seen any new ones at least. I Haven't seen an   and new signs around Caloundra were   so i doubt they are reverting to Alphanumeric NHs Also new signs on the Gympie bypass like 12 months ago were   and   So it would have to be a very recent change.

Life200BC (talk) 07:28, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes it is

Thent1234 (talk) 08:24, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello Life200BC,   was deliberately signed by QMDR and is an official route according to Paul Rands. Also the only green (not M6) signs are the remnant  s as I know recently QMDR has changed their standards to show blue signs for tolls I know there's a ton of Remnant's in Brisbane so explains why. It's similar in NSW with the Alphanumeric routes (not tolls) that now are borderless but only get's put once signs are replaced but we don't change the ones that only have the signs but instead change all. Similarly, as the Logan Motorway was Metroad 6, and it only changed around this year? Same with the Toowoomba Bypass. Also Could you provide a route number for me with these routes. I know some pass multiple.

The Clem Jones Tunnel (Clem7), -

Legacy Way Tunnel -

Go Between Bridge are tolled by Linkt on behalf of the Brisbane City Council -   Northbound only, right?

The Gateway Bridges

The Gateway Motorway between The Pacific Motorway and The Logan Motorway it tolled.[1] -   (I'm guessing it's M2)

The entirety of the Logan Motorway is tolled. -

The Toowoomba Bypass between Helidon Spa and Mort Street is tolled

Southern Cross Way - Is it tolled? https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sir+Leo+Hielscher+Bridges,+Queensland/@-27.4340458,153.0837144,17.42z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x6b915927d711a00b:0xe7fa43b0fdc146da!8m2!3d-27.4436995!4d153.1005921

Thanks, Thent1234 (talk) 09:47, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Southern Cross Way Is not Tolled. The go between bridge doesn't have any route associated with it and is tolled bothways.  doesn't exist it Is

the Riverside Expressway which isn't a toll road.    for Logan Motorway not

By the way, are you planning on adding Tourist Routes e.g   to the Road Route Pages

--Life200BC (talk) 10:15, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

Yes, when I have time tomorrow. The Go between bridge's signs were produced before the standards changed. And the M2/M7 was a typo

Thent1234 (talk) 10:40, 1 November 2020 (UTC)

It is kind of weird that the Go between Bridge doesn't have a route assigned to it all

.

It is way more strange and weird in New South Wales. There's A38 which I do not understand why its so nationally significant. Then there's A48 Illawarra Highway where trucks can't even go on some areas. Why did it get an A route? On the flip side, NorthConnex, which opened on Saturday doesn't have a route number. It's 9 km long and it's longer than the WestConnex M8. Then there's also Cross City Tunnel, that didn't get a route number but it's only 2km so I kinda get why it didn't get one. Putty Road, which is a bypass of the Pacific Motorway (Sydney - Newcastle) which is about 200km long doesn't get a route marker. At least for the least bit give it a tourist drive marker. Now compare the following roads with this road:

NorthConnex

Putty Road

Cross City Tunnel

Go Between Bridge

and compare this with   - very short road in Phillip Island that doesn't deserve a route marker in the first place.

Tourist Drive Section

Hello Life200BC,

Could you please send me a list of all Tourist Drives in QLD.

I can do it but it might take some time. I have to finish off this section - See the State Route section, when you see that almost half of it is incomplete.

Tourist Drives and Route Numbering

Hello Life200BC.

Finished making the table. Just have to fill them in. There's some a lot that are missing there.

Also what does that "purple moths" mean on your user page?

Thent1234 (talk) 07:16, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Thank you, It looks good. The commitment to making wikipedia a better place is astounding
Purple moths is just because moths are cool but understood creatures and I like the colour purple.
Life200BC (talk) 07:53, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

The route numbering bizarreness. More examples.

Now compare the following roads with this road:

NorthConnex

Putty Road

Cross City Tunnel

Go Between Bridge

and compare this with   - very short road in Phillip Island that doesn't deserve a route marker in the first place.

To be honest, the Northern Territory has the best numbering system other than their "progressive replacement" i.e.   Tanami Road is partially unpaved so it gets the   route marker. Thent1234 (talk) 06:50, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I sometime question who actually makes road routes. They are the weirdest things. Not only what you mention but in Brisbane The Ipswich Motorway is M7 until it randomly becomes M2, why not just make Ipswich Motorway M2 and then Logan Motorway M7. I think they really need to just get a list of major roads and then just redo all the road numbers. Life200BC (talk) 08:06, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

By the way I've change the New England highway to   as on google maps i found this which would indicate a change, would this be enough to change it on the list of queensland road routes? https://www.google.com/maps/@-28.1221406,152.0671354,3a,15y,125.3h,85.47t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s5eIgfZv2BDaV-zjv1rhZTQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

Also the M2 bit of Gateway Mwy should be M6. Then M6 Logan can be M2 and M2 will be continuous. An NSW example is A43 and B82. Route 43 almost loops around Newcastle except of a tiny bit where it's marked as  . Can't they mark it as B43? I know it breaks the rules but it's consistency. Again in Euston, NSW where Murray Valley Highway ends there's this really bizarre situation.   ends at the border and RMS has decided to not continue 3kms of Vic route into NSW at the NSW numbered network.

Thent1234 (talk) 08:40, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

I Know for Brisbane it would ideally be:

  •    For the entirety of the Pacific Motorway, Inner City Bypass, Gympie and Lutwyche roads To connect to the Bruce Highway (Road signed
  •    for Road currently signed    and then for Ipswich Motorway and Onto the Warrego Highway
  •    For the Gateway Motorway
  •   for Port of Brisbane Motorway like it currently is
  •     for roads currently signed as such
  •    For the Logan Motorway
  •   For Cunningham Highway
  •    For the Mount Lindsay Highway

Life200BC (talk) 08:51, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

For regional Queensland, it'll ideally be that

  •   For Brisbane Valley Highway
  •   -->   (A40)
  •   -->   (A50)
  •   -->   (A60)
  •   -->    (M13/A91)
  •   -->   (A15)
  •   -->   (A39 - Goondiwindi)
  •   -->   (M8)
  •   for A55, but Qld doesn't use B-Routes.

Thent1234 (talk) 08:59, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

For   I don't understand why DTMR don't go on a field trip and replace like 20 signs. It can't be that hard So it is
Same goes for  , they've already started to do some as mentioned above. Life200BC (talk) 09:02, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Added A15. Also how did DTMR end up with duplicate routes in the first place? And for NH39, its coverplated, so all they have to do is remove the coverplate.

Thent1234 (talk) 09:05, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

I'm sure it is a stupid reason. Probably similar to Bus Route Numbers in Brisbane 1,2,3,4 correspond South East North and West. 111, 222, 333, 444 were to be key routes. Multiples of ten were to be trunk routes. And others were meant to be feeders and they got one guy to do 1,2,3 bus routes and then got a random other guy to the 4's who did his own thing, so the western suburbs buses are all weird. DTMR probably did something similar. Life200BC (talk) 09:10, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi Life200BC,

The only problem with A13 is that it doesn't match with our B91. If you guys change   to A13, then RMS would have to change   to   (B13) which is why it probably hasn't happened yet. It also breaks RMS rules though they do have B23. (they can always say, well it's all Victoria's fault) Also I'd like Sunshine Motorway to change to M8 followed by A8. Same with Smith Street Motorway (How can something be a Street and a Motorway?) for it to become M10 followed by A10. Also if M6 was only added this year, they would have learn't their mistakes wouldn't they?

Also RMS claims that   is A15

https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/roads/using-roads/alpha-numeric/qanda.pdf

Also if you want to talk about highways and roads, join this group below

https://groups.google.com/g/aussie-highways

It's where the real road fans are and where you can ask anyone a question. (If you want to know which is my name on the group, its kakaduhwy21) Its where the creators of Ozroads, expressway etc. come and meet together. I have got thegwh32 to join, so it'll be awesome if you join too. If you want to be anonymous, just change your display name. (like what I did)

Thent1234 (talk) 11:09, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

That B91 and A13 thing I don't understand, why would the NSW Government just go B91 when the other side is R13 wouldn't you just make it B13. Yeah, Sunshine Motorway and Smith Street Motorways should be Alphas, they made Port of Brisbane Motorway an Alpha, so I don't know why they couldn't there. The   is   in NSW and some signs in Queensland have been converted which is what I was talking about. Smith Street Motorway is probably called such as the road was called Smith Street before being converted to Motorway.

Life200BC (talk) 11:59, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

B13 doesn't go with their rules. The main reason why it's   Summerland Way is because B91 was meant to terminate at Woodenbong which is 3km south of the border. But there was some criticism so they extended it up to the QLD border. Was Port of Brisbane Motorway  ? Also how does a street, get converted to a motorway? Also   is regional not is Brissie.

Thent1234 (talk) 20:51, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

Yeah the POB Motorway was   before being converted to  . Streets are easily converted they just grade separate the road at intersection, not dissimilar to other upgrades, however that road just started as a street before being upgraded.

Life200BC (talk) 06:09, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

Nice, now back to A15, Sam Laybutt (creator of ozroads) he sent me another A15 here at the southern end of Stanthorpe Bypass

https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-28.6769302,151.921008,3a,49y,346.34h,89.63t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sH_0vWbbBUoveoLJHU9l-wA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

It seems that the A15 signs are only put when signs are replaced.

Also why doesn't Queensland use B routes?

Thent1234 (talk) 06:29, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

I would also wish that DMTR and RMS decided to connect Route 79 together. See below for the route I'm talking about. Currently, it ends at Tibooburra, making it unnumbered til Windorah. Also if RMS decided to connect 500m of Vic route into NSW and route 79 will be continuous instead of three different sections.

QLD doesn't use B because when they started doing alphas B routes weren't a thing.
by the way The Mount Lindesay Highway would have to an A route give the federal government put it in the National Land Transport Network meaning it is of national significane so if QLD did follow b91 which they most likely won't it would have to be   (A91) which looks worse than both    Life200BC (talk) 21:25, 3 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello Life200BC

I thought when Tassie decided to do the alpha system in the 1970s they implemented A, B and C routes. Only M routes weren't a thing. M-Routes only got added when SA did the conversion. QLD did their conversion after SA in 2001.

I'm still surprised that ACT still hasn't finished their alpha conversion. C'mon they only have 5 routes to sign, is it that hard to do it, especially when VIC has successfully managed to do all C routes and neighbouring NSW has done it in one year. For   only two signs have B52 on it. The rest have   or no number on it. I also heard these two B52's were accidentally signed by the "New South Wales" coverplate fairies.

Hi

Thanks, for the routes. I've added it on my brand new website.

Will get a better domain name soon.
