License tagging for Image:Propithecus Verreauxi.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Propithecus Verreauxi.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Note about lemur pages

Since I know you like to hop on and revamp lemur pages, I wanted to give you a heads-up about an upcoming re-write of the Lemur article. You can read more about it on my user page under Upcoming revisions. Unfortunately, it's unlikely that I will complete the page(s) before I leave for Madagascar in October, so everyone will have to wait until January or February to see it. When the re-write gets published, I plan to completely replace the contents of the Lemur article. If any significant updates to the page are made between now and then, it will likely delay the re-write even more since I will have to confirm the added material with references and try to incorporate the content into what I have already written.

After the re-write is complete, I plan to move down to the family level and start re-writing each of those pages. Next will be genera, followed by species. You seem to be big on updating species pages, so if you would want to work from the bottom up while I work from the top down, maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle (over the course of the next few years)?
