- My knowledge of PHIGS comes from working at Evans & Sutherland from 1989-1993 and later study for my Computer Graphics Museum. I worked on the ESV Workstation and Freedom Series accelerators. The ESV used PEX and had a PHIGS/PHIGS-PLUS style API. The Freedom Series primarily used OpenGL, but also supported APIs that were specific to Sun, HP and IBM.
