Final Final warning

edit

LeeD1502, I wanted to give you one last chance here, because I'm not sure that the way WP works has been explained clearly enough. Wikipedia requires that all information be verified by reliable sources. Unfortunately, Youtube videos almost never count as reliable sources. In order to add the information that Anderson has 2 children, you will need to produce a more reliable source, like a newspaper article, an official post on his own home page (if he has one), etc. The only video that I can think of that would count would be a video recording of an interview by a real news media (not an online-only interview) that was uploaded by the news company itself. If you don't have such a source, the information simply can't be added to the article.

Note that if you attempt to add the information again without a source, you will be blocked for violating our requirements on sourcing. If you have any questions, just post them here and I will help. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:28, 28 July 2011 (UTC) Read this article http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/anderson-i-have-the-qualities-to-be-player-of-the-year-next-season-2276757.html go to the very end and read " My other life " He says " i like to take to my daughters, play my old playstation! on my day off i used to like to chat up girls but i cant do that anymore because i have a " Steady Girlfriend " THIS IS ENOUGH PROOF PLEASE THIS GUY IS MY FAVOURITE PLAYER EVER I WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO HIS WIKI PAGE BECAUSE HE IS MY FAVOURITE PLAYER! See i just helped with ur page....THANK MEReply

All you had to do was to provide that source in the first place. See, this is a fundamental requirement for Wikipedia: any time information may be challenged, and especially when it's about people personal lives, it must be verified by a reliable source. That Independent article counts as a RS; in fact, it looks like someone already added it to the article. Take a look at how the info is there with a citation. If you don't know how to add citations, which is fine, the best thing to do is to go to the article's talk page (here, that's Talk:Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira), give them the link like you just gave it to me, and then someone else can help format it. But please don't just try to force information in without a source. If you ever need help, please come to my talk page and ask. Also, as a side note, we're not going to add the part about a "steady girlfriend", because it's trivial and too vague to belong in a Wikipedia article. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:39, 29 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

OK cool thanks man.
