ICJ-related articles

Hi Leatherneck, I see you've made a number of contributions to articles related to the International Court of Justice. I agree these articles have room for improvement, and I assure you that you aren't alone in your distress that the ICJ let Serbia off. However, many of your edits directly and personally attack the subjects of the articles. This is generally stylistically inappropriate for an encyclopedia, so those edits have been reverted. Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles, as you did at Rosalyn Higgins. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Bjarki 19:50, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Leatherneck, it is your obligation to provide a clear source for material you add in the article you edit. You can't just say "Check the Internet" or "The other things were in various newspapers." - See WP:V You can't make your own conclusions from facts you find on the internet or elsewhere, as you appear to be doing about Owada. The link you left on my page is insufficient. This is called "Original Research" WP:NOR You would need to find a source criticizing him or anyone else, and the criticism must be phrased in a neutral manner. See WP:NPOV. Wikipedia's WP:BLP policy is there for a simple reason. If someone defames a living person and Wikipedia doesn't diligently remove it, Wikipedia can be sued. You really must learn about Wikipedia policy and how to edit before you do any more edits in the same style. Otherwise there is little doubt that you will be treated as a vandal and blocked or banned, whether vandalism is your intent or not.John Z 11:01, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
