Douglas anne munson and Mercedes lambert

edit

You don't need to create the same article twice, just use a redirect from the lesser-known name to the famous name. The redirect code looks like #REDIRECT [[page to redirect to]]. Please also remember to source and reference claims to notability made in the article and to add the correct categories. Please look at the help pages, linked on the left hand side of the page, in order to see how to do this if you don't already know. Regards, (aeropagitica) 18:41, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Mercedes Lambert and Douglas anne munson

Hi, I noticed you created these two articles for the pen-name and real name of the same person. Normally in such case we would locate the article at one of these titles and set the other to automatically redirect to it. For example, see Antony Blair and Tony Blair - the former page has no article it just sends the reader to the main article. We do this so that only one article needs to be maintained. I was going to make one of the articles that you created a 'redirect' to the other but was unsure which should be the primary article and which should be the redirect. What would you recommend? One person, two entries

edit

Yes--I was wondering how best to handle - thanks for the advice. My instinct is to make the primary the author's real name (since she wrote as both) "Douglas Anne Munson" and then have "Mercedes Lambert" direct to that. Then I'll make adjustments to Munson page to explain names. Thanks. Lcrown1957 21:17, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:DM.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DM.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:17, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
