Hi LauraHartwell UT1. I noticed your edits to Toulouse Capitole University, and that you have added a paid-editing disclosure to your userpage.

I just wanted to send this message to make you aware that editors with a conflict of interest - including paid editors - are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly (quote taken from WP:COIEDIT). Editors with a conflict of interest are instead encouraged to propose changes on talk pages (by using the {{edit COI}} template), or by posting a note at the COI noticeboard, so that they can be peer reviewed.

I’ve linked some pages below that I would encourage you to read through, to ensure you’re aware of the relevant guidelines and policies regarding editing with a conflict of interest. I’ll also send a default conflict of interest warning message below this one, as it includes a few other links which you may find helpful. Apologies if you are aware of this information already.

If you have any questions, I’d recommend asking them at the Teahouse. Feel free to ask me as well if you wish, however I’m fairly new to Wikipedia myself, so I might not be able to help out personally as much as I’d like to!

Hello A smart kitten (talk),
Thank you for your message and information on submitting through the Talk option. I have tried this with the Honorary Doctorats at UT Capitole. I hope to have done so correctly. I do not beleive that I have posted subjective information or advertising. I have consulted many other university websites to understand and to respect the information that is given for other institutions. I have not acted as a reviewer. Kindly tell me if you think something might be inappropriate and I will attempt to rectify it.
Sincerely,

Editing with a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, LauraHartwell UT1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. A smart kitten (talk) 12:54, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 13:07, 10 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
