Unjustified blanking

Why did you blank every user in Wikipedia:Huggle/Users? Please provide a significant reason in the edit summary next time. -Porchcrop (talk|contributions) 02:52, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

My reasoning is a bit long, so I didn't provide it in the edit summary. But since you asked, here it is: (1) The list is meant to show who uses huggle (2) Inactive users stay on the list, cluttering it up and making it unclear who is actually using it (3) Manually removing inactive users is tedious and unnecessary because (4) The list automatically refills itself quickly anyway, as you saw, as soon as someone uses huggle, their name is added to the list. Oh, okay. You did the right thing. Thank you. :) -Porchcrop (talk|contributions) 03:16, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:FoalyCloseup.png)

Thanks for uploading File:FoalyCloseup.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:28, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Warning. novice huggle user; stupid question

I downloaded huggle today, worked with it a while and then closed it. I have now returned, but don't now how to open it. When I look at Questions and Manual, I do not find it addressed. It just assumes one gets to the sign on page, but without directing how to get to the first step. Your assistance would be appreciated. Yes, I feel like an idiot to ask this. --StormRider 01:51, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

You should have downloaded a file named "huggle 0.9.0.exe" or similar, with a red circle/sphere as its icon. Just double-click the file to run Huggle (same as any other application). Calvin 1998 (t·c) 02:33, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
I can't find the icon on my computer. There was no entry for a new program or anthing on my computer desktop. I did find the program after doing a search for huggle. The download program came up, showing the red dot, and I was successful in entering through that method. Typically a new program would show up under "all programs" on a Vista enabled machine? Something does not seem to be working properly. Can one enter the program from internet explorer on Wikipedia? --StormRider 12:22, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
No, huggle will not create an entry in All Programs as that would require a formal installation (which would require admin privileges on that computer), something Gurch has shied away from. So I suggest keeping the file you downloaded on your desktop or something. If you want a shortcut, you are free to make one. Calvin 1998 (t·c) 14:49, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Yup, that was the answer. Old man is a little slow, but eventually with kind assistance I finally get to where I need to be. Thanks. --StormRider 15:40, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
