For an excellent new article on Altitudinal migration. Congratulations, and thank you for all the hard work. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:16, 3 December 2014 (UTC) |
Altitudinal migration
editThis is a great effort for a first article. Just one or two minor things, generally we do not use contractions in articles, e.g. it's. Also you don't need to pipe a wikilink if all you want is to avoid capitalisation in the middle of a sentence so for example if I want to wikilink example but don't want a capital E all I need do is do it in lower case [[example]] and it will look like this example, similarly if I wanted to look like "examples" I don't have to pipe but can write it like this, [[example]]s. If a wikilink has already appeared in the body of an article it does not qualify as a see also.
On a specific note the following needs clarification. "An overall loss of species richness can occur due to there being fewer migratory species to replace the migratory ones." Should one of these be non-migratory, or perhaps "fewer new migratory species to replace lost ones."--KTo288 (talk) 19:45, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Nice article! One quick comment: references should go after punctuation rather than before. Small point, but one you'll get picked up on, particularly if you try to get the article through GA or FA... :) MeegsC (talk) 20:18, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I will go through and make the recommended changes! Larharmon (talk) 22:25, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
