Notability of Ben rouse

edit

A tag has been placed on Ben rouse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. EronTalk 16:56, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removal of deletion tags

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - EronTalk 17:18, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

why has this article been deleted multiple times without me having time to consruct an arguement against such action? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lankymanbrouse (talkcontribs) 13:23, 17 November 2007

The article was judged to be about a non-notable person. Such articles can be deleted at any time. If you think that Ben Rouse is notable enough to have an encyclopedia article, I'd suggest you make that argument here on your talk page before re-creating the page. - EronTalk 17:42, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Coombs wood 005.jpeg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Coombs wood 005.jpg. The copy called Image:Coombs wood 005.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account.
