Hello, I'm Joyous!. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Keisha Buchanan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Joyous! Noise! 04:43, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

unsourced birth dates

edit

Hi. I wanted to explain why I reverted a change you made to Pui Fan Lee. In this edit, you added a birth date, but you didn't cite a reliable source. Wikipedia has strict rules on content in biographies of living persons because this can impact real peoples' lives. Please be aware that many sites on the internet purport to give information about celebrities, but few of them of reliable. Sites like the IMDb use user-generated content, and they should not be cited in biographical articles. Similarly, celebrity gossip websites should not be used because most of them don't have a history of fact checking or publishing corrections. Fan sites and blogs are self-published and have no editorial control. We also can't use primary documents, such as government birth databases or genealogical websites (which are also typically user-generated, as above). This means that the number of available sources is quite slim, and we often have to either go without this information or wait until a source like the BBC publishes an interview that includes a birth date. If you're not sure whether a source is reliable, you can ask at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:12, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

User name

edit

With this username, it appears that you have chosen the name of a real life person with a Wikipedia page. I find it very unlikely that you are Laila Morse to be honest so I consider that a username violation. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 19:58, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am Laila Morse. Just because I'm in EastEnders, doesn’t mean I don’t have hobbies. As long as I don’t edit my own page everything is fine. Sling your hook.Laila Morse (talk) 21:11, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
