Articles on Ahom kings edit

They are very good additions to Wikipedia, but they need a little more work. Consider the following:

  • The <ref>...</ref> should appear after a punctuation.
  • Instead of writing out the full citation for each <ref>...</ref>, consider using the the citation templates and referring to them.
  • The articles should illustrate the role played by a particular king in an incident/event, and the incident/event, if remarkable, should be described in its own article. For example, the Dandiya rebellion deserves its own article. The activities of Purnananda Burhagohain too deserves their own article space (under Purnananda Burhagohain).
  • Please look around for articles on monarchs and kings which are featured articles for examples.

Using bold for emphasis edit

Please read MOS:BOLD for the Wikipedia policy on using bold. Chaipau (talk) 02:33, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have read the article and I have understood the rules. Actually, i just want to highlight the names of the kings, the officers involved in the historical event and some Historical statements given by historical characters, so that when a reader reads the article s/he can know or remember the names of those historical characters. I have reviewed the articles and have found that the history articles should be properly presented, so that readers find them interesting and gets each and every bit of information on history. The only objective to highlights the names and the statements given by the historical characters is to attract the readers and try to make them feel the importance of that historical event. Therefore i request you kindly give some better ideas in this regard. I still have lot to learn regarding editing in wikipedia.Lachitbarphukan (talk) 15:37, 23 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sunyatphaa Udayaditya Singha edit

You have written that Sunyatphaa was a descendant of Sureng, the Deo-Raja. But the Deo-Raja was Suleng, not Sureng, and there is no son of Suhungmung by that name (Sureng). Also, Udayaditya was the brother of Chakradhwaj Singha, according to Padmeswar Gogoi (1968). Could you clarify the situation here, and so I may clarify the text? Thanks. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
