File:FurmanPhotoNimitz.jpg
editHello,
The file FurmanPhotoNimitz.jpg which you have uploaded the 3nd april 2007 has been moved to Commons, the 15th February 2008, by me [1]. In those days, I had to deal with many pictures from the US Navy, and I haven't paid much attention neither to the license nor the author of this file, believing it was an official Navy picture (my apologies). I have only noticed my mistake today: Commons (and Wikipedia, too) needs accurate information about the author and license for each picture. According to Commons/Wikipedia rules, there is no legal proof that the author has given his permission to publish the picture (an e-mail has to be sent to Commons, unless you are yourself the author, in which case there is no problem), and your picture lacks a valid license.
Unless you provide a license (and if you're not the author, a permission from him), this file might be deleted. Again, my apologies for contacting you so late. Tachymètre ✉ 14:35, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
