License tagging for Image:ChildrensNewspaper-01-1919-03-22.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ChildrensNewspaper-01-1919-03-22.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:04, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Trigan Empire edit

Hi, nice edit to the Trigan Empire page, but the part about the no fixed story titles is true. If you like you could check out www.trigan.com, and there is also links there to the official Trigan website and that of Don Lawrence. I have both the Hawk and Hamlyn books, as well as the recent reprints and the Hamlyn and Hawk books share about three stories. For example, the Hamlyn book has a story called "The Reign of Thara", whereas the Hawk book version is called something different, like "A Tale of treachery" I think to fit in with the "Tale From" image of the Hawk book. The Reprints themselves have adopted titles, though these are not official as such, but since the Trigan stories were reprinted numerous times in Europe, most notable the Netherlands, the most commonly used titles were used. Fair use rationale for File:ChildrensNewspaper-01-1919-03-22.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ChildrensNewspaper-01-1919-03-22.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:39, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mick Hall edit

The article Mick Hall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced BLP on non-notable illustrator.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Abductive (reasoning) 00:19, 6 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
