Welcome to Wikipedia. Your account has been blocked from editing because your username gives the impression that the account represents a group, club, organization, company, or website. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable, regardless of the username that you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid or compensated in any way, you must disclose who is paying you to edit here. You may also read our FAQ for article subjects.

Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change. The new username that you choose must represent you as an individual person, and it must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username for this account instead, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be in use by another account. You can use this page to search the list of registered accounts and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If your search returns that "there is no global account for" your search term, that means it is available.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Appeals: If your username does not represent a group, organization, website, or other entity described above, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (which is this page): {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

I am not here to solely do this page, nor am I being Paid. I am however, new to editing and creating. This group particularly is quickly gaining notability with recent developments. I have been a user of wiki for many years and have contributed via donations many times. I enjoy what the site has to offer. Hope that clears the air. Thank you. This is merely a starting point for me, but i do have every intention of great contributions in the future. LBVWB (talk) 15:41, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Didn't understand the username rule, corrected. LBVWB (talk) 14:34, 2 June 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action, or you have not responded to questions raised during that time. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 18:57, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please understand; regardless of your username, if you are here purely to promote The Leroy Burks Band, you're in the wrong place. Wikipedia is not a means of promotion, nor are we a a directory of bands, or a social media site. If you intend on continuing to work on Draft:The Leroy Burks Band, you need to read and abide by our conflict of interest guideline as well as comply with our policy on paid editing. If you have questions, I'll be happy to answer. To a reviewing admin; I'm fine with an unblock if the above are agreed to. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:28, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Am I able to continuing working on this article? LBVWB (talk) 17:46, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I noticed it is still locked. Is there a way to remove the lock? do i need to create a new account? LBVWB (talk) 21:02, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
You have to wait for a reply. Admins are volunteers, after all, so patience is necessary. You unblock request is from today, and depending on the workload, how many admins are active, and what more pressing emergencies there are elsewhere, a response can take hours, days, or weeks.
If you create a new account, that account will be blocked as well, and then it will be even less likely you'll ever get unblocked. The block isn't just of your account, but of any account that you use, or even editing logged out without an account. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 23:29, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
