Speedy deletion nomination of SENG Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted

A tag has been placed on SENG Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Part of the reason for the deletion was that no independent reliable sources were mentioned. One of the ways an organization can be deemed notable is if it's gotten substantial independent coverage, e.g. in the press. Press releases and other self-published content don't count, nor do passing mentioned like directory entries and one-paragraph blurbs. —C.Fred (talk) 03:08, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

Additionally, rereading the deleted article, it appears to have been cut-and-pasted from the organization's website. It wound need to be rewritten in neutral point-of-view. (As a quick rule of thumb, first-person pronouns should never be used in a Wikipedia article.) —C.Fred (talk) 03:11, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

As far as what process to use, you may want to write the article in user space first, e.g. User:L.S.Avecilla/Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted. The notability rules aren't in place in user space; as long as the text isn't blatantly promotional or copyright infringing, it's easier to keep draft articles in user space. The other editors you mentioned (as well as anybody else) can then help refine the article before it gets moved to main article space. —C.Fred (talk) 14:01, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
