Hi

I believe that the copyright for Image:Lion Salt Works - Plan of the site.jpg and Image:Lion Salt Works - Site Layout.jpg lies with Vale Royal council, or whoever drew up the plans, since they are photographic copies of their material. Therefore it's unlikely that they will be able to be used on the Lion Salt Works page. Please let me know what you think. Salinae (talk) 21:43, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Maybe you are right. I do not know the legal position in Britain, the signs are very public (what would be, if the pictures show also the surrounding?). But I think, Vale Royal council is interesting to have it in the internet? Maybe somebody who speaks right English can ask them? Salt is not my special field. I have no problems, if the images will be deleted in Wikipedia Commons (I took them for me to know, where it has been), but I found it a nice idea to put it on that page. Thank you for your questions, if you think, it is better if I shall give order to delete them I will do it, if you do not want to do it for me. ;-) --Kuerschner (talk) 20:01, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, I'll see what I can do about getting permission. Salinae (talk) 07:34, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
That's very, very kind, thank you! And good success!!
PS: I am not sure, but I mean I remember a formular from Wiki Commons for such inquieries?!--Kuerschner (talk) 07:42, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
