Hi I think you might find it useful to check out the face book group - Malamutes at Work http://www.facebook.com/?sk=app_2305272732_2392950137#!/groups/332122706848996/ and other similar groups while gathering your information. There are many Malamutes still racing and competing. There is a team of pure breeds currently in training for the 2014 Iditarod.
