Work v. Editing
editI find I have a similar difficulty. I am supposed to be writing a chapter right now, but am tooling around in here. Enjoy! This is a fabulous community! Kukini 23:10, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
New look of Australian commandos page
editHi K, I use Firefox and it looked completely fine; I had a look with Explorer and saw what you meant. See what you think now; I have fixed it for Explorer but it's not as good for Firefox.
I appreciate your work on Australian military history articles. Have you seen Jack Wong Sue? It would be good to get articles on more of the SOA guys. Grant65 | Talk

Damascus
editThanks for the comment on my talk page. I feel I agree with you in principle; while it's naturally worth getting this right it is complicated, making it difficult to explain at length appropriate for inclusion in the main article on the (ahem) oldest-continuously-inhabited-city-in-the-world. However, I don't have time at the moment to address the issue. One possibility that occurs is to mention that allied forces entered the city - that is in fact probably enough for the main article - and provide a fuller account in a footnote, including referencing the controversy. Feel free to suggest some implementation for your idea, preferably I suppose with a considerable level of citation and on the article talk page; I'm sure that an agreement could be reached easily enough but not sure how much time or inclination I will have to be on Wikipedia anytime in the near future. If you feel you have found the solution and don' hear back from me, put it in and I'll see it when I see it!

2008 Krait image
editI was wondering if you would still have the full image of the file (File:Krait_rear_shot_2008.jpg) that you uploaded to wikipedia? I mean, uncropped, edited, etc. Only changed the name of course for it to be uploaded to wikipedia, which has clearly been done. In my opinion it is a good image you've taken, wish it was not edited if that is the case and that is why I am here asking has it been edited before uploading? Hope to hear from you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:OCSPortsea.jpg has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the file should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
