Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 21:22, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Esfahan edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I am sorry that your first entry on your talk page was a clearly inappropriate vandalism warning. I hope that this will not discourage you and that you will continue to contribute to Wikipedia. We really need editors who contribute to subject areas that are not so well covered, such as Iran and Iranian cities such as Esfahan. I think the best advice I can give you is to look at our best articles, for example Ahmedabad. You can learn a lot about writing style, about what to include and what not, how to be neutral about controversial topics or topics that are dear to ones heart, and how to cite and how to format the text (see also Wikipedia:Manual of Style). Another important thing to know is, always try to cite your sources, and the more authoriative and neutral your source is the better (see Wikipedia:Reliable sources). So I hope you will enjoy editing here, and that you will be able to improve the Esfahan articles or other articles. Голубое сало/Blue Salo (talk) 03:49, 29 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Blue Salo for your supports and your advices. I think there is a lot do about countries like Iran in Wikipedia. I will try to improve my contributions with citing more sources, I have ordered some books and waiting for them to continue my contribution about Esfahan. The Ahmedabad article is a very good example, I will try to use it as a template.(Koohkan (talk) 08:57, 29 September 2008 (UTC))Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
