Bulgarian articles in Spanish

edit

Greetings! It is true that many Bulgarian-related article lack proper coverage in other languages even in Spanish, which is spoken as a first language more that the English language, so it will be nice if you improve the coverage of Bulgarian-related articles in Spanish. New articles are not hard to make, just find a red link, click on it and you can edit :):):) Feel free to edit what pleases you. iiiSaludos desde Bulgaria!!!, --Gligan (talk) 22:52, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

iHola! Well, it is very difficult to find something more for Baba Vida in English and even in Bulgarian in the internet. I think the best option is going to a library but unfortunately I doubt you will find anything useful in Mexico. That is what I could find in the net, which is not enough: [1] and [2]
Otherwise, there are plenty of articles needing translation or expansion in Spanish - for the two empires, battles, emperors, wars... you can see Portal:Bulgarian Empire where those things are listed. Also other articles might include Medieval Bulgarian Army, things about the culture or geography (cities, villages, mountains...) There are really a lot of things if you have time and desire :):) iiiSaludos!!!

Sofia article

edit

Hi. Why did you change the area shown for the city of Sofia? There is a source that shows the prior number. Unless you have a source that shows something different, you shouldn't make a change like that. I'm reverting the change but feel free to discuss on the article's talk page if you think that you've found a better source. Thanks. Pinetalk 07:29, 22 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I changed it because before it was stating an area just above one square kilometer, which was not possible and looked like vandalism. So I went to the bulgarian article and copied the value shown there: Землище 492.092 km². Cheers.

I've checked out the information and found that: "According to Decree No. 1 of the President of Republic of Bulgaria from 5.01.1999 for confirmation of the boundaries of the administrative district centers, in Sofia (capital) district are included regions, which created in order to the Law for territorial breakdown of Municipality of Sofia and big cities." The total area is of 1348902 Decares or 1348.9 km². But apparently this value also includes other towns like Bankya, Novi Iskar or Buhovo as it is from the Territorial balance of the district Sofia (capital) as of 31.12.2000. The value you've placed will stay there but i think that a point on the subject should be made in order to give the same data on every language. Komalantz (talk) 12:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:38, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
