HELP!!

After recently creating a Wikipedia account, I have been placed in the Autoconfirmed User Group, meaning I am unable to perform certain actions such as uploading pictures etc.

Is this purely temporary or am I in here permanently and there is nothing I can do about it?

Actually, you are not autoconfirmed yet. The autoconfirmed usergroup allows you to do these things. The criteria for autoconfirmed is that your account is 4 days old, and has 10 edits. You only have 2 more edits left until you are automatically promoted to being autoconfirmed. This will allow you to:

• Edit semi-protected pages (autoconfirmed)
• Mark others' edits as patrolled (patrol)
• Move pages (move)
• Overwrite an existing file (reupload)
• Perform captcha triggering actions without having to go through the captcha (skipcaptcha)
• Upload files (upload)
