Nominating articles for speedy deletion

edit

Hi. Thanks for your work on Wikipedia monitoring new pages and tidying them up. However, there are a couple of things you should be aware about. When nominating an article for speedy deletion, can you please use the Edit Summary to state that you are nominating it for speedy deletion (as described in WP:CSD#Introduction to criteria. You didn't do it here or here

The other thing is that the speedy deletion criteria for notability is very clear that if there is a credible assertion of notability, then it is not a candidate for notability. Both articles I declined had multiple referenced sources, and the description within the article was more than enough to show that the people were notable. If you think they should be deleted, then the process to use is WP:PROD or WP:AFD.

If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note on my talk page. Stephen! Coming... 16:09, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
