Speedy deletion nomination of Victor Pădureanu edit

A tag has been placed on Victor Pădureanu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Lionel Messi edit edit

Unless you can counter the argument made on the article talk page which suggests that Messi does not have a 2006 CL winners' medal, please do not edit the article to suggest that he does, nor state that this is a "lie". I have reverted your change. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 10:29, 30 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please check the sources first. He WAS included to the squad, although he did not play in the final. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kismeth (talkcontribs) 20:46, 31 March 2010
That is not being disputed. What is being disputed is whether he received a winner's medal for the tournament. There is a convincing argument that he did not. This has been established on the talk page, which you have declined to participate in. I'll let you undo your own edit should you wish to act in good faith; if not, I will revert the edit myself, and if you proceed to continue to disrupt Wikipedia by edit warring over this or baselessly accusing others of lying then you will be blocked from editing. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 23:29, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
I think that if the fact that he was in the squad for the final is undisputed than there's no problem. In your edit you added a citation that said that he did not get medal, because he was not in the squad for the final. I proved that he actually was, which would normally end any reasonable discussion. It did not. So it's your personal problem, not mine. Messi received a medal for the CL 2005-06 win, along with whole team that was in the Barcelona's staff for the final (including coaching staff, among which there were assistants).
That was a lie, don't know whether from your part or someone's else, that I proved. Saying something that is untrue (Messi's absence from final's squad) is a lie. Beat it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kismeth (talkcontribs) 23:38, 31 March 2010
You did not "prove" anything; all you did was edit war on the article. Messi was not even on the bench in the final, and so is in the same position as the players listed in this article: he did not receive a winners' medal. Whether he was in the squad or not is irrelevant if he did not play in the final game. And sign your posts. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 07:49, 1 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
