Barnstar

edit

I awarded Kinghy with the Defender Barnstar, as he has made quite rapid and effective revertions and has helped keep Wikipedia pure. -El Maxo 19:33, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, I'm proud of my efforts to purify the inferior genetic scum who destroy our handsome wiki. Kinghy 19:33, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Haha, brilliant humor as always. -El Maxo 21:45, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Huh? Humor? Kinghy 17:07, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I seem to have a lot of Barnstars now. Excellent. Clearly the word of my deeds is getting around. --Kinghy 19:18, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lack of good edits

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --CalendarWatcher 17:05, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

CaldendarWatcher, you are on thin ice. I represent the will of the Wiki-Elders. Your meager powers are nothing compared to their sheer magnamity. Cease your warnings immediately or be destroyed. MWAHAHAHA! Kinghy 22:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Kinghy; watch it buddy! Wikipedia is not a place to fool around on! -El Maxo 22:21, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Civility

edit

Regarding your reaction to User:Lazer john's vandalism of [{Roman Catholic Church]] ([1], [2]): While Lazer john's actions were unwelcome, please remember that civility is one of the key principles of Wikipedia. Also, not biting the newbies applies even to people whose first edits are unpleasant. These principles are important because Wikipedia is a collaborative effort. Please tone down your attitude. FreplySpang 18:29, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

No. --Kinghy 18:29, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edits like "Please go somewhere else and maybe die" are especially unwelcome. As an experienced Wikipedia user and an admin, I strongly recommend that you reconsider your position. Otherwise, you may find yourself the one who is blocked. FreplySpang 18:31, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
You can't block me! I have a Defender Barnstar! --Kinghy 18:38, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I've been following this controversy up, and I feel that it is silly. It was a light-hearted joke, and was likely meant not to be taken seriously. Also, he has a point, he does have a Barnstar. Plus, he was just doing it for the good of Wikipedia in the first place. Joemale-malesign 18:40, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Er... yes... joke. That's what it was. Haha! Joke! Yes. So, let's all not ban anyone and go about our rightful ways. Hoho. Joke. Yes. --Kinghy 18:41, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Right. Okay. If you want to contribute productively to Wikipedia, you really should listen to advice from more experienced users. First off, barnstars don't have any particular official meaning - and when you get them from your buddies, they mean even less. Second, even if Lazer john is a friend of yours and you're goofing around with him, we don't tolerate that kind of thing around here. Third, the "good of Wikipedia" isn't just about preventing people from making inappropriate edits to articles - maintaining a community spirit of civility, no personal attacks, and cooperation is considered just as important. You may disagree, but the community consensus supports this. See the Five Pillars of Wikipedia for an example of how important this is. One of the pillars is "Wikipedia has a code of conduct." Those who do not comply with these standards are not welcome in the community. FreplySpang 18:48, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

What are you, the civility nazi? --Kinghy 18:50, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nope, just a user who noticed your rather dramatic edit summaries and wanted to give you a chance to straighten up. FreplySpang 18:59, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, and Hitler was just a guy who noticed the Jews rather dramatic... shut up --Kinghy 18:59, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
L0l @ this debate Joemale-malesign 19:08, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Shut up malesign. Why don't you go die? Oh... I mean... uh... We're all buddies! Yay! --Kinghy 19:09, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
What do you mean buddies? You just told me to go die! Joemale-malesign 19:09, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
No I didn't! You have no proof! --Kinghy 19:11, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

More power to you Kinghy! I was ROFLMAO...hahahaha. People should really lighten up. Man, I needed that. At least there's one less loser who gets to keep his sense of humor. hahahaha.

Request reason:

Apparently someone has blocked me for 'daring an admin to block me'. This is a great disgrace to our fair, handsome wiki. 'daring an admin to block' yourself is not one of the prerequisites for blocking, and also I didn't do that. The wiki-Elders must be rolling in their graves. I am saddened in the extreme. --Kinghy 21:00, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

Decline reason:

No way based on the civility one section up. Calling people the civility Nazis, comparing other users to Hitler, asking people to go somewhere and die, totally unacceptable behavior.-- Metros232 02:15, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

How about a trial unblocking? Indefinite seems a mite harsh, no? Kinghy 20:50, 5 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
