Creating new articles

edit

Hi! When you say "a page like Cf38s", do you mean his user page (here)? If so, you should start with these steps:

  1. Your user page should not be in article namespace (the same area that articles are). User pages are always prefixed with "User:". In your case, your user page will be User:Kingeorge. The reason it's red is because the page hasn't been created yet.
  2. Have a look at WP:USERPAGE, the Wikipedia guidelines and help page for user pages. This outlines what you are and what you aren't allowed to have on your page.
  3. You may also wish to read the following pages that may help with the formatting and style of your page:
    1. WP:IMAGES - the Wikipedia image policies/guidelines
    2. WP:TABLES - table markup used in Wikipedia
    3. WP:USERBOX - userboxes (showing personal information, WikiProjects etc)

I hope this helps - just let me know if you want to know any more. I didn't want to frighten you off by nominating your article for deletion. If you want to test pages, you can either do it in your user namespace (for example User:Kingeorge/Sandbox or by using one of the main Wikipedia sandboxes).

Good luck with the editing! And remember - be bold! If you think something could do with editing, do it! If the edit is not relevant or accurate, it'll just be reverted.
