Ganja edit

I did that move two years ago, at the time saying, "if "ganja" is no longer a dab page, then there's no reason for the (city) dab". At the time, Ganja, I believe, redirected to Ganja (city), so I saw no point in keeping the (city) part. --Golbez (talk) 16:26, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sure, go for it. --Golbez (talk) 19:52, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Nfk.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Nfk.png. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:39, 23 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redundant images edit

There's a glitch in an admin tool [1] which has been working fine until recently. I've sent a note to the script writer and will probably pull it off the pages it's used on until there is a fix given. I'm also contacting the creator of those image category template pages to remove this until the bug is fixed. I'm assuming I'm not the only one this has affected as of late. Yes edit

But it is hardly styled like an impartial panorama. If we're going to include it, we should include something from the Armenian side too. I think its better to wait until the commons deletion request is over. It would be good if someone were to have answers to my questions in that respect :) - Francis Tyers · 06:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I think a photograph of the city (abandoned or not) would be a nice addition neutral addition to the article. Are there any freely licensed ones? - Francis Tyers · 22:03, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
None of those were massacres committed during wartime operations, so are not comparable. They are also not disputed by either side, so My Lai massacre would not be an appropriate comparison either. This is an example where a descriptive image is used, as is Greysteel massacre. If I don't see any development on the licensing issue I may change my vote on commons. - Francis Tyers · 12:02, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:AI 133 fcover.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:AI 133 fcover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 11:33, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
