The article BlueCollar has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. No, it's not advertising because of the pictures and the MySpace link. It's advertising because the article was pretty much nonstop text like this:

They "continue to create amazing style-crossed music."

"Whatever style you call it, the music is memorable and worth listening to over and over."

"Blue Collar has never faltered in their mission to create, perform, and amaze."

Furthermore, there was no indication in the article that this band meets the notability standards of WP:MUSIC, and there were no independent sources (see WP:ATTRIBUTION). NawlinWiki 18:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

In response to your request, I took the time to explain (above) what was wrong with the article BlueCollar. Instead of addressing those concerns, you reposted the article verbatim, including the spammy language quoted above. Don't do it again or you will be blocked from editing. Your continuing condescending tone and attitude is helpful! Thanks! People must like working with you!

OK, Origivation magazine might be a reliable source. (The billboard isn't -- it doesn't say anything except "this guy was on a billboard".) What you need to do is write an article about the band from a neutral point of view rather than a rabid-fan-point-of view. Identify the members and give significant dates in the band's history, instead of just repeating in six different ways how great they are. Cite the article as a reference, including a weblink if the article is available online. See Wikipedia:Citing sources. Most importantly, read WP:MUSIC and explain which of the criteria in the article the band meets. NawlinWiki 19:15, 7 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Bcpaflash.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bcpaflash.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
