My issue was about removing the links. If there is something you want to improve then fix it.Gloriamerrier (talk) 17:56, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

The links are no longer valid as pertains to this article. The information is outdated and incorrect. I have explained this under the [Avery talk section]. There are no links within Wikipedia to the bibliography I gave, and I did check.

I corrected the information in the article as is scholarly and best known, and gave bibliographic support for what I changed. You changed the article and reverted it back to information which is invalid, as best as I can see.

I am not a continuous editor to this group. I looked over the article, and saw some significant errors and corrected as best as possible. (Kgriffisgreenberg (talk) 18:22, 11 June 2009 (UTC))Reply

You do know how to edit or read a wikipedia page correct? You do not list references and book pages next to the words in the paragraph. you link it to the page as a footnote. click on the footnotes in the article and it will take you to the bottom of the page titled references: you only gave 2 of them from Gardiner 2005 (1957) and its all there 129.10.104.191 (talk) 20:17, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
There are various styles of referencing, the important thing is consistency. See WP:CITE. You can of course have Harvard style references at the end of a sentence without footnotes, the IP is wrong about this. And the most recent edit by Gloriamerrier (talk · contribs) removed the book details, it certainly isn't 'all there'. Dab's reverted her, saying "(this is about I6. What is a "black (hieroglyph)"?)". He's changed the title to Km (hieroglyph). Dougweller (talk) 21:10, 11 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

You also need to read WP:3RR so that you don't end up having problems the way the other editor did. I'd advise you to wait until 24 hours after your last edit yesterday, as I will certainly do. A bit of a pain but not often an issue. Dougweller (talk) 10:31, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I noticed your recent edits on Abydos and would like thank you for your work with one of Ben's cookies, famous in and around Oxford for their taste! Iry-Hor (talk) 21:02, 10 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
