Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:18Steps.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 14:19, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:DudeOfLife.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DudeOfLife.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:27, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PorkTornado.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:PorkTornado.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:11, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a proper venue for campaigning. In addition, as an admitted user of a banned account, you need to go through proper channels to rehabilitate User:SEGA before you are allowed to edit again. — Coren (talk) 07:32, 20 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This is the email I sent to Voice of All, the blocking administrator. I have not had a response, and would like for others to read it so I may get this resolved. It's a tricky one, but I am being truthful........

Hello,

I am writing to discuss a possible appeal of the block on my account,
which appears to be inacted last week. I assumed it would happen sooner
or later, as this has been and continues to be a very complex issue.
 Myself and
Richard Northrop (aka user "RunLikeAnAntelope") authored the Phish fan
book ''The Pharmer's Almanac'' back in 2000. A couple of years ago,
myself, Rick, and a few other friends of ours in the Phish world began a
Wikipedia campaign to strengthen and expand the Phish pages and related
artricles on Wikipedia. Most of what you see on Wikipedia regarding
Phish was either created or expanded mainly by Rick and myself, but
several other users helped as well, including Frank Stevens (aka user
 "SEGA").

Our group of friends, about five or six total, edit Wikipedia out of
the computer lab at Southwestern Community College in suburban Asheville,
NC. Back in 2005 and 2006, when the rules of Wikipedia were a bit
looser, some of us had more than one account. In the summer of 2006, we
began getting blocked because we were associated with a similar IP address
and editing patterns as Frank, who, unbeknownst to us, was abusing a
series of heavy metal pages and was banned.

This past summer, Rick and I created a new account specifically to work
on Phish and our new adopted project, rock band Umphrey's McGee. The
account was under the username RunLikeAnAntelope. This account was
eventually banned by administator Seraphimblade, not because of misuse, but
because it was linked to the same IP as SEGA. Rick emailed
Seraphimblade personally and explained the situation. He stated that we should not
be sharing accounts and that only one person should be using an
account. Therefore, out of respect for his requests, we completely stopped
 using the
RunLikeAnAntelope account, and I gave up my anonimity in order to
separate myself from SEGA and other uses at the college and created the
KevinPharmers account in my name so that I can continue the process of
building and growing the Phish and Umphrey's McGee pages. As you will seem
these are the only pages I have edited or am interested in editing.
Frank is a good kid but he's caused a lot of problems for the Phish
 community at Wikipedia.

I would like to ask for the KevinPharmers account to remain open for
editing so I can continue my campaign to enrich the Phish and Umphrey's
pages as the bands' respective histories continue to unfold. I am open
to any questions or concerns you might have.

Thanks very much,

NOTE: this may be a SEGA sock. Have asked blocking admin for info.RlevseTalk 03:13, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
