Trixbox edit

RE:[1] First, thank you for contributing the article in the first place! I tagged the page, because it DOES read like an advertisement. There is no information listed, other than product features and product naming. There are also no external references, other than the company's websites. See WP:Verifiability. I did not tag the article as Speedy Deletion-G11, as I have personally worked with trixbox (from the user end), and I would love to see the article continue to develop. You have done nothing wrong, I am honestly stoked that you began the article, but the current content is still lacking. Keep working on it when you can, and hopefully the tag will draw other editors to work their magic as well. --Josh3580user / talk / hist 22:52, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of Trixbox edit

A tag has been placed on Trixbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Trixbox and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Calltech (talk) 02:40, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Recovery and Rewrite of trixbox edit

Hey there, I see the article did get deleted. I do have a suggestion, however. I found a good source for a starting point, from which you could glean some information to rewrite the article. review of trixbox If you would like to get the info back from the article that was deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Also, while you are working on the page, you might want to put in the {{inuse}} template at the top. This might discourage hasty deletions. Hope this helps! --Josh3580talk/hist 19:07, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

csd edit

I suggest you work in your userspace (something like User:Kerrygarrison/trixbox) to develop the article before you move it to the mainspace. I also suggest you look for outside coverage about the software (ie for non-technical stuff) in the news and do not list any lengthy technical details. You have to realize Wikipedia is not a place for technical specification and discussions of every feature, but a place to describe the software in general terms and its impact on the public. The fact that other crap exists on Wikipedia is not a good excuse to insert more of it. Renata (talk) 18:13, 28 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

September 2014 edit

Hello, I'm Kendall-K1. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Ruger 10/22, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.
