Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Kenspencer. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Hi Antony: Thanks so much for your kind welcome. When it comes to Wikipedia editing I am afraid I am in over my head, so I tread carefully when I try to edit anything. The new visual editing looks like it will be easier for me.
I guess you saw that I modified a photograph that was posted by someone else. The image was dark and distorted, so I *thought* that I improved it. But I messed up - when I got done, the photo is now credited to me, which is incorrect. I am curious - the original photo had a credit of "Antony-22". Can you tell me if you actually took that photograph? it appears that you are in the UK, so I am a bit puzzled.
If I offended anyone by changing the photograph, I am sorry.
Best regards,

Hi Ken! No offense taken! When you upload a photo it automatically attributes it to you, so you have to go into the image page and attribute the original contributor like so: commons:File:Glenwood Generating Station demolition - perspective adjustment.jpg. It's not entirely obvious that that's the correct place to do it, especially for newcomers. I hope you continue contribute more photographs, there are certainly many places in Nassau County that lack them. (And yes, I am in fact located in the US!)
