Rúbéńs Bářřǐĉħèľľó listed at Redirects for discussion edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Rúbéńs Bářřǐĉħèľľó. Since you had some involvement with the Rúbéńs Bářřǐĉħèľľó redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). The other redirects you have created, such as 2009 Malaizijos Grand Prix have also been questioned at the RfD above. What are they, Lithuanian? Generally such redirects are are not considered helpful. Is there any special reason behind these? -- ToET 23:25, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rúbéńs Bářřǐĉħèľľó edit

A tag has been placed on Rúbéńs Bářřǐĉħèľľó, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you believe that there is a reason to keep the redirect, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. B.Wind (talk) 06:49, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello KembanganGreen. I just saw your note over at User talk:B.Wind#I don't know what are you talking about, and unless I've missed something looking at the edit histories, I think that there has been a miscommunication. In the note above, B.Wind in not accusing you of removing anything, but is telling you that he has tagged the redirect Rúbéńs Bářřǐĉħèľľó (that you created) for speedy deletion, and reminding you that if you feel the redirect should not be deleted, you should not remove the current template, but should apply a {{hangon}} template. When you wrote, "Besides, i don't know which page i just "DELETED" the speedy deletion thingy", I think that you were saying that you didn't know what page he accusing you of having delete something on (which he didn't) and he interpreted that as you saying that you had deleted it (which you hadn't). In any case, we would appreciate your input at the RfD discussion as most of the redirects you recently created appear to be unhelpful. It would help us if we understood the reason for their creation. -- ToET 08:17, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hello KembanganGreen, as you can tell by the link turning red, that redirect has been deleted. We would still like to know what your intention behind the other redirects were. Are they Lithuanian? Answering here is fine. -- ToET 15:06, 7 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of 2009 Formula 1 Winter Series edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as 2009 Formula 1 Winter Series, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.

Also note that Wikipedia is not for you to use as a host for your imaginary racing world. IIIVIX (Talk) 19:28, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sock puppet User:Fen grip edit

I notice you have just created a new User talk page at User talk:Fen grip. It is strictly forbidden to operate more than one WIkipedia account, there may be ground for a Sock puppet investigation, which would see you banned from Wikipedia if correct. Is the Fen Grip account yours? --Falcadore (talk) 19:45, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Infoboxes on their respective user pages would suggest that User:KembanganGreen and User:Fen grip are 11 and 13 year old brothers from Singapore. They may be sharing a computer and intermixing edits. I believe the greater issues here are WP:NOT#HOST and WP:CHILD. -- ToET 22:01, 8 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

And it has been deleted. Please discuss your plans with other editors before creating more of these redirects. Thank you. -- ToET 00:11, 13 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Avoid edit waring edit

When an edit of yours is reverted by another editor, do not undo that reversion, particularly without comment. If you are certain of the correctness of your edit and you can explain the reasoning in your edit summary then such a edit is acceptable, but in all other cases you should first seek to communicate with the other editor either on the article's talk page or on that user's talk page. -- ToET 15:13, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Grand Prix practice times edit

If I can refer you to this archived discussion it willo show that it is not the policy of the Formula One Wikiproject to include practice times. Wikipedia policy WP:STATS comes into play here.

Additionally, the use of colours in tables except in very small doses is not used as it very easily becomes overpowering in its use and can make it hard to read and colourblind will much difficulty reading some variations. --Falcadore (talk) 09:12, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

If I may add, the format of displaying the results of the 700-800 odd Formula 1 Grands Prix has taken years to perfect and is consistent across the the 60 Formula One seasons. Please do not change it, at the very least without raising what you would wish the change at the F1 Wikiproject discussion page. --Falcadore (talk) 09:19, 15 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re:Latest G1GP edit

A Grand Prix is made up of more than just the race. Qualifying is generally included, along with the race. If, for example, a driver qualifies but does not take part in the race (Massa in Hungary, Glock in Japan, etc.) they are classified as 'DNS', but they are still classified. I find it slightly weird as well, but I have got in trouble before for not changing it early. :) Apterygial 07:33, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flags in GP articles edit

If you want to play with the flags or experiment, use your sandbox. Changing all the drivers' flags to those of their home regions, towns or counties is hardly something whch other editors will support, is it? Bretonbanquet (talk) 14:11, 18 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
